PrestaShop error 500 or blank screen: what to do right now
Your PrestaShop shop shows error 500 or a blank page: what to do now without making it worse, how to see the real error…
It's Monday, you log in to check the weekend's orders and the checkout button doesn't respond, or a module asks to be updated and you don't know whether it will break something. PrestaShop maintenance exists so that Monday morning isn't your problem: someone who knows your shop keeps an eye on it, updates it carefully and has hours set aside for whatever comes up. At BK Modules, PrestaShop maintenance for one shop costs between €590 and €1,790 a year, depending on the hours of work you need.
It's a yearly service to look after a shop that already works. It's not about building anything new, but about keeping what you have up and running, up to date and with someone behind it who answers when something goes wrong.
It covers one shop: its domain and its staging environment, which is a copy of the shop where changes are tried out before touching the real one. To work on it, we need access to the shop's back office and to the server.
All plans include the same things. The only difference between them is the number of working hours per year.
It's done by the same people who build PrestaShop modules, so we know the shop from the inside, not just from the back office.
There are three plans. All are paid once a year and renew automatically every year on the same card.
| Hours per year | For which shop | Price per year |
|---|---|---|
| 14 h | Stable, rarely changes | €590 |
| 24 h | Needs a tweak every few months | €990 |
| 45 h | Lots of modules or frequent changes | €1,790 |
Module updates and monitoring come with all three. The hours are what you choose.
You sign up directly on the PrestaShop maintenance page: choose the plan, pay at checkout and it's active straight away. If you don't have an account yet, you create one in a minute during checkout. Each renewal generates its own invoice, which you'll find in your account.
It depends on how much you change the shop and how many modules it has. A simple way to decide:
Hours are counted by actual working time, in 15-minute increments. A small tweak uses a quarter of an hour, not a whole hour.
Hours are for each year. Unused hours don't carry over to the next year, so it's worth choosing the plan that matches what you'll really ask for.
If you run out early, you have two options: the extra work is charged as a one-off support hour, or you move up to a plan with more hours.
Hours belong to the shop on the plan. If you have two shops, each one has its own plan.
Maintenance looks after what you already have. Anything that's a project in its own right is assessed and quoted separately:
If you ask us for something on this list, we can use hours from your plan to look into it and prepare a proposal. If you accept it, those hours go back into your plan.
And if what you want is to grow the shop with custom development, SEO or branding, that's what the Evolution Plan is for, which is quoted individually.
You don't need to sign up for a whole year to get out of a tight spot. If the shop breaks, you can buy a technical support hour for €45 and we'll get on it. If the fix needs more time, we send you an estimate before going further and you decide.
Yes. You cancel whenever you like from "My subscriptions" in your account, no questions asked. You keep everything you signed up for until the end of the year already paid and, after that, you aren't charged again. Until that date arrives, you can undo the cancellation with one click.
The next renewal date and its amount are always visible on that same screen, so you always know when and how much will be charged.
Choose the hours that fit your shop, pay on the same page and, from that day on, your modules and your fixes are in the hands of people who know PrestaShop from the inside.
