Talk about your project

Why is your shop getting spam and CPU spikes?

Some bots fill in your contact and sign-up forms; others crawl every filter combination in your catalogue until the hosting is overloaded. Each problem has its own module, and neither makes your customer decode images.

Forms without spam and without reCAPTCHA

ALTCHA stops automated sign-ups and messages with a check your customer’s browser solves by itself: no images to decode, no third-party cookies and no data sent to Google.

Keep bots from taking your shop down

If bots crawl every filter combination and your host warns about 100 % CPU, the module answers before the database, limits expensive searches per address and per network, and lets verified Google in. Your customers notice nothing.

Frequently asked questions

How do I stop spam on my PrestaShop contact form without reCAPTCHA?

With a proof-of-work captcha such as ALTCHA: your customer’s browser solves a small calculation in the background, and bots, which send thousands of submissions, can’t afford it. There are no images to decode, no third-party cookies, and no data is sent to Google or anyone else.

Why is my shop slow and my host warning about 100 % CPU?

Often it is bots crawling every filter combination in your catalogue: each combination is a heavy database query, and thousands per minute overload the server even when nobody is buying. The anti-bot module answers before the request reaches the database, limits expensive searches per address and per network, and lets verified Google through.

Do they work on my PrestaShop version?

They work on PrestaShop 1.7, 8 and 9 (each product page gives the exact version) and don’t modify the core, so they keep working when you update. Your purchase includes the instant download, updates and support from the people who write the code. Looking for something that isn’t here? Tell us what you need.
